Christian Bale Says No To "The Justice League"DC Comic are still in the very early stages of putting their own team of superheroes on the big screen as Batman-star Christian Bale says no to ‘The Justice League‘ project. Undoubtedly, this shred to pieces the hopes of many fans of seeing him performing the role of the Dark Knight yet again. Naturally, another actor can be cast for the honors – we’ve seen this happening quite a few times with Batman already – but after the staggering success of the Dark Knight trilogy few can picture Gotham‘s finest being reprised by somebody else.

The actor, however, made it clear beyond any doubt that his days under the black cape are over for good. In an interview for Entertainment Weekly he shared his view on the topic:

Christian Bale Says No To "The Justice League"“We were incredibly fortunate to get to make three Batman films,” he said. “That’s enough. Let’s not get greedy. Chris (Nolan) always said he wanted to make it one film at a time. And we ended up sitting there looking at each other, saying, We’re about to make the third,’” Bale explained. “We never really knew if we were going to get to be there, but if that was how it was going to be, this was where it should end as well.”

Bale continued on saying that he has absolutely no contact with the production team of ‘The Justice League‘. What is left for us is to wait and see who will don the black cape this time and whether he’ll manage to imbue it with life at at least 10 percent of what Bale did.
